Marcus T.

Richmond, VA · Moving Labor

"Saved almost $900 compared to the quote I got from a full-service mover. Two guys showed up on time, worked hard the whole 3 hours, and not a single thing was damaged. 100% recommend."

Aisha R.

Atlanta, GA · Loading & Unloading

"I rented a U-Haul and booked Moving Labor for loading. The crew packed that truck like professionals — I would never have gotten everything in without them. They finished in 2 hours, I expected it to take 4."

Derek H.

Houston, TX · Same Day Movers

"Called at 9am, had a crew by noon. I was in a tough spot after my lease ended unexpectedly. They were lifesavers — professional, fast, and no attitude about the last-minute request."

Jennifer M.

Charlotte, NC · Junk Removal

"Entire garage cleared in 90 minutes. Stuff I'd been meaning to deal with for years — gone. The crew was cheerful and worked non-stop. Pricing was exactly what I was quoted online."

Robert K.

Nashville, TN · Furniture Moving

"Needed a sectional couch moved from my basement to the second floor. Every mover I called wouldn't do it. Moving Labor had no problem — sent two strong guys who figured it out in 30 minutes."

Lisa P.

Phoenix, AZ · Estate Cleanout

"Used Moving Labor after my mother passed. The team was respectful, worked at our pace, and sorted everything carefully for donation vs. disposal. Couldn't have gotten through it without them."

FAQ

Questions? We Have Answers.

Common questions about hiring moving labor and junk removal.

Moving labor typically costs $139 per hour for a 2-person crew, with a 2-hour minimum. Most 1-2 bedroom moves cost $280-$560. Larger homes or longer jobs are proportionally priced. We bill in 30-minute increments after the minimum — no rounding up to the nearest hour.
Junk removal starts at $139 for a single item or small load (1/8 truck). A half-truck load costs $299, and a full truck is $499. Prices include labor, truck, and disposal fees. We give you a firm price before we start — no surprise fees.
Yes — typically 40-60% cheaper. Full-service movers charge for their truck, fuel, overhead, dispatch, and profit margin. With Moving Labor, you rent a U-Haul for $30-$80/day and pay only for actual labor hours. Most customers save $200-$600 on a typical move.
No stair surcharges. Our standard hourly rate covers stairs, elevators, tight hallways, and most challenging situations. We may quote slightly higher for extremely heavy specialty items like gun safes, hot tubs, or pool tables — let us know when booking.
We require a small $25 deposit to secure your booking slot. The remainder is due upon job completion. We accept all major credit cards, Venmo, Zelle, and cash.
Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your job start time for a full deposit refund. Cancellations within 24 hours forfeit the deposit. No-shows are charged the 2-hour minimum.
No hidden fees. Our quoted hourly rate is what you pay. Fuel surcharges don't apply within standard service area. The only extras would be additional time beyond your estimate, which is billed at the same hourly rate.
Book online through our quote form in 60 seconds — enter your zip code, service type, and preferred date. You'll receive an instant confirmation and we'll contact you to confirm crew details. You can also call us directly.
